In August of 2017, NFFE Local 1028, representing US Army Corps of Engineers employees in the Norfolk District, filed a grievance against the Corps of Engineers on behalf of all bargaining unit employees.
The Grievance alleged violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Title V (FEPA), among other violations. The Union has retained Snider and Associates, LLC, as the Union’s counsel for this matter. The firm is working hard for the bargaining unit employees to ensure that their rights under federal law are upheld.
The Agency has disputed that the Union’s Grievance is viable and Arbitrator Mark Rosen was selected to resolve the dispute.
